At Writing Tasks Automation (“we”, “us”, “our”), your privacy is a priority. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use our educational writing tools and services, including submitting writing drafts through Google Forms and receiving AI-powered feedback via email.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our services, including your name, email address, student ID, section, and written submissions (text or images). Uploaded writing samples are typically image files submitted through integrated Google Forms, securely stored within our connected Google Drive.
Use of Information
We use your information exclusively for the purpose of educational assessment and personalized feedback. Specifically, student writing samples are processed through Google Cloud Vision OCR and AI grading engines to produce feedback and reports, which are then sent to the email address provided. No grades or personal assessments are shared beyond intended educators or authorized users.
Data Storage
All information, including uploaded files and processed feedback, is stored securely within Google Workspace and Google Cloud vetted services. Access to such data is restricted to authorized personnel and intended educators only. No writing samples, personal details, or feedback are shared with third parties, and data is never used for purposes beyond educational assessment as described here.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking services outside necessary Google services for file handling and email delivery within our educational workflows. No behavior profiling, advertising, or third-party analytics are conducted.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, distribute, or disclose any personal or educational data to outside organizations, except as required by law or for the purpose of complying with legitimate governmental or legal requests. Within our organization, only educators and administrators directly involved with the assessment workflow have access to student submissions and results.
Security
We employ best-practice security protocols throughout our workflow, leveraging Google authentication, file sharing controls, and API security within Google Cloud. Uploaded files are made accessible only when necessary for automated feedback and are not shared publicly. The system is designed to protect against unauthorized access, but users are encouraged to ensure their files are not shared outside our workflow.
Data Retention
Writing samples and related feedback are retained for the necessary duration of the assessment and educational cycle. Upon completion or request, data may be deleted from the system in compliance with applicable educational privacy regulations.
